Financial Policy
Our practice has made a commitment to provide the highest quality of healthcare services to our patients. These general financials policies have been established for our practice, which we believe will prevent misunderstands about financial issues as well as allow the payment flexibility that some patients need. Discussions of financial issues early in your treatment process will prevent most concerns, misunderstands, and stress relating to payment for the services you will receive.
Our office requests that you pay in full at the time of service, however, we understand that individual situations may make it difficult to meet these financials expectations and will be happy to discuss our offered financial options with you.
- There is a 5% discount for surgical procedures when payment is made with cash or check.
- We also accept payment by debit or credit cards (MasterCard, Visa, or Discover).
- Our office offers financing arrangements, including non-interest bearing loans, through Capital One Healthcare Finance, which in many cases can be combined with treatment fees with your restorative dentist and/or orthodontist as well. This allows you to have the convenience of one payment for your dental care/treatment for multiple offices.
Our goal in this practice is to provide the very highest quality treatment to the patient. Unfortunately, insurance companies make money by paying only the very cheapest alternative, disregarding what is in the patient's best interest! Very frequently, they will disregard what we diagnose, utilizing X-rays and a thorough clinical exam, just to decrease the benefit for use and increase the profit for them. This compromises your care, and this is where we feel we must draw the line! We refuse to compromise, in any way, the quality of care patients deserve and receive through our diagnosis and treatment. For this reason, Dr. Gallagher is not a contracted provider of any insurance company.
As a courtesy, we will submit claims to the primary insurance for you on all visits and procedures, whether they are delivered in our office for the hospital. We request that you pay in full at the time of service (regardless of the situation) and we will file the claim to the insurance company for your reimbursement. Please remember insurance coverage is a contract between the patient and the insurance company. The ultimate responsibility for your fees to your doctors lies with you.
Patients with MEDICARE or TRICARE must sign an Opt-out form – understanding that our office will NOT file claims to either of these insurance companies and with MEDICARE, the patient is not allowed to file for the services provided.
